Should K-12 schools be required to determine the immigration status of children enrolled?

They won't do it to Hispanics. But strangely enough they HAVE insisted that I prove my daughter's citizenship or immigration status because of the very European sounding name that I gave her. She's white of course, which somehow makes it okay. But we must leave the poor Hispanics alone.
