Is it OK to use ultrasound gel as a lubricant?

I don't see why not.....but it is a very expensive lubricant. KY jelly is much less expensive than ultrasound gel. When we do transl ultrasound, we lubricate the transl transducer (a wand like camera) with the ultrasound gel.
