I recently divorced and gained sole legal and physical custody of my children. Is it ok to move away?

My divorce was by default (spouse didn't show up - didn't care) but now, I want to begin my life and was recently offered a job in another state. May I legally move with my children without consulting with their mother? She hasn't seen them in months and hasn't paid a cent in child support since we split. This job pays $20,000 more a year and it's exactly what I need to give me and my kids the lives we deserve. I just don't want any drama - like a subpoena or court order - to interrupt my new life away. Since I still have ties to the state I live in now, I will obviously come back here for holidays, etc., and I fully plan to let them visit so they'll be no reprecussions or backlash from them later. I'm mainly asking about the legalities of moving my children. Thanks so much.
